Letter from the Principal
Dear Parents/Legal Guardians,
My name is Julio Contreras, and it is a great honor to serve as the new Principal at the Denver Center for International Studies at Montbello (DCISM) beginning in the 2018-2019 school year. I am looking forward to meeting each one of you, and work together with you to make sure your child receives a quality education, the motivation, and adequate resources to ensure that your child graduates with the knowledge, skills and habits of mind necessary to succeed in the global society of the 21st Century.

Community Letter 6/8/18
Dear DCISM Families,
It is with a heavy heart we share with you that former DCISM student, Otis Mills, passed last night.
Each of us will react to this loss of life in our own way, and we need to be respectful of each other. Feeling sad is a normal response to any loss. We know that many of you, or your student/s, may have previous experiences which may have healed to varying degrees. This may open or deepen those wounds for you or your student/s. We have counselors available to help our school community deal with this sad loss today, Friday, June 8th, from 12:00 to 2:00pm.
During these times of grief, it is important we become even more aware of the actions of ourselves and others. It is important that, as we grieve together, we are aware of signs of stress and emotional difficulty that can look like:

DCISM Registration will be on July 25th (7am-2pm) and July 26th 12pm-7pm).

DCISM Class of 2018 Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 31st at 2:30 PM at the University of Denver Magness Arena. Admission is open to all family, friends, students, and teachers, with no ticket purchase necessary.
