Letter to Families 12/15

Dec. 15, 2017

DCIS Montbello Families,

As some of you may have noticed, there was an increased presence at our school of uniformed officers from both the Denver Public Schools Department of Safety (DPS Safety) and the Denver Police Department (DPD) at arrival today.

We received reports of a potential safety concern. We take all reports seriously. Please know that it was concluded that there is no threat against our school and the concern has been properly addressed by DPS Safety, DPD and the involved parties. I am very appreciative of the support and fast response of both organizations.

The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority, and all measures continue to be taken to ensure the safety of our students.

As always, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Julie Murgel
Principal
