I was born in Tulsa, OK.  I went to undergrad at Northwestern University, got my Master's degree at University of Texas, Austin, and earned a certificate in Educational Leadership and Policy from DU.  

My mother was a teacher and I spend a lot of time around teachers growing up.  I teach to help all students find their voice to advocate for themselves and their families.  I have been with DPS since 2004, spending ten years in the classroom before working in school administration.  

 I love spending time with my family.  I am a devoted soccer and swim mom, practice yoga, walk my dog, enjoy live music and time with my husband.  I have traveled to 40 of 50 states, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe.
